‘Nature is the Church of Satan’ at the 2010 Whitstable Biennale




Paul Burgess will be showing a new film ‘Twins’ as part of the screening of ‘Nature is the Church of Satan’ at the 2010 Whitstable Biennale Satellite Programme this Saturday 3rd July 2010 at 8pm. Please come along if you can.

Curated by Louise Colbourne, this collection of short films and videos offer a dark, surreal view of nature and the landscape. The title comes from a line in Lars Von Trier’s film Antichrist (2009), which explores a psychologically disturbing relationship between the main female character and the woods surrounding her house.

Including Work by: Zoe Brown, Jenny Baines, Louise Colbourne, Dryden Goodwin, Jim Hobbs, Paul Burgess, Michael James Jones, Matt Hulse, Kate Street and Vicky Thornton.

Chaumont
 International Poster and Graphic Arts Festival 2010




Paul Burgess will be one of 30 illustrators and artists selected by Adrian Shaughnessy to be shown at this year's Chaumont
 International Poster and Graphic Arts Festival in France, running from 29 May – 20 June 2010. The exhibition will be called "En Tube". Each poster will be printed and displayed publicly on giant concrete tubes 
that are spread around the town.
